01 MECHANICAL + TECHNOLOGY

From Diesel Engines to Information Technology

One half of ANND Labs started his career as a diesel mechanic — diagnosing problems, working with his hands, and learning how complex systems work from the inside out.

That hands-on mechanical background eventually led to a completely different kind of troubleshooting: information technology.

For the past eight years, he's worked professionally in IT, building experience with computers, networking, infrastructure, software, and the technology that keeps modern businesses running.

The tools may have changed from wrenches to keyboards, but the mindset never really did: understand the system, find the problem, and build a solution.

02 CREATIVITY + DESIGN

Creativity Meets Design & Engineering

The other half of ANND Labs comes from a very different background. She works as a security guard, but outside of work she's always had a seriously creative side.

That creativity found its way into CAD, 3D modeling, product design, and the challenge of taking an idea that exists only in our heads and figuring out how to actually make it.

She has an incredible eye for turning rough concepts into designs that are functional, useful, and look like something you'd actually want to own.

That combination of creativity and technical design has become a huge part of the products we create at ANND Labs.

OUR STORY

ANND Labs wasn't born in a boardroom.

It grew out of something much simpler: the things we were already doing together.

Designing. Building. Troubleshooting. Experimenting. Learning new skills. And constantly coming up with ideas that usually started with:

"Could we make that ourselves?"

Sometimes the answer becomes a 3D-printed product. Sometimes it becomes software. Sometimes it's a completely different project that sends us down another rabbit hole.

That's part of what makes ANND Labs what it is.

Different skills.

Neither of us started out with "technology company founder" in the job description.

We've learned by working, experimenting, breaking things, fixing them, and trying again.

HANDS-ON PROBLEM SOLVING

A mechanical background taught us that understanding how something works is the first step toward figuring out how to make it better.

CAD & 3D MODELING

CAD and 3D modeling allow us to take an idea from a sketch or conversation and turn it into something that can actually be manufactured.

SOFTWARE & TECHNOLOGY

Years of professional IT experience give us the tools to go beyond physical products and build software, infrastructure, and technology of our own.

CREATIVITY

Not every problem needs a complicated solution. Sometimes it just needs a different way of looking at it.
